Is it a coincidence that for the first time in years a bill is introduced into the Missouri legislature that requires homeschoolers to register with their local school district and then, suddenly, from out of no where, a federal initiative surfaces that would strip away from you the last bit of freedom and autonomy you have in making educational choices for your children? Race to the Top is the latest attempt from the federal government to strip away the sovereignty from states and require all sorts of mandates in exchange for……money! Federal tax dollars! Cha-ching!
This article in the Missouri Record outlines just how Race To The Top is structured so that educational choice, as we know it, will be changed forever. And it is certainly no coincidence, that along with this initiative, a bill is introduced to require the tracking of homeschoolers because you can’t regulate those you can’t identify.
Don’t let anyone fool you into thinking there isn’t a very well thought out plan here, folks. Bureaucracy doesn’t like independence and autonomy. If you are gonna regulate education, you gotta heard all the fish into the net, even and especially homeschoolers.
